The PNC Achievers program identifies and recognizes outstanding student-athletes across the state of Maryland. Every Tuesday from March 5 to May 21, a PNC Achiever will be highlighted on air for their leadership in the classroom, on the field and in their community. The program aims to highlight students who not only dominate the game, and excel in the classroom, but also those who impact their community by volunteering for youth groups, leading a school club, or shoveling an elderly neighbor's driveway. If they are a good-deed-doer in your community, we want to hear about them!

2024 Nominee Winners:
PNC Achiever Week of 03/25/24: Juliet Goada a Freshman at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. For the past 9 years Juliet has been volunteering with her local church in South Baltimore City - helping them with their children's ministry and working at their Christmas Store to help lower income families afford gifts for their children. She has also volunteered many times at Paul's Place, Inc. and Generosity Feeds. As a freshman in high school she has already completed 30 of the Student Service Learning Hours. Juliet was accepted into the Ingenuity Program at her High School (although she turned this down to focus on other academic programs). She currently takes AP and Honors level classes and holds a 4.9 GPA. As a freshman Juliet is playing in 3 different High School sports and 1 club lacrosse team. In the Spring and Summer of 2023 she trained daily for several weeks and months - sometimes even twice a day. Her efforts paid off and she was offered a roster spot with the TLC lacrosse club in Towson, MD.
PNC Achiever Week of 03/18/24: Andrew Vogel a Senior at Francis Scott Key High School. Andrew began playing lacrosse at the age of 6. Since that time, he has excelled as a multi-sport athlete and grown to be a leader on any field he steps on. He is highly regarded by his team and coaches for being the first on the field, the last off the field, and always setting a positive example for others to emulate regardless of the score. Andrew has a GPA of 4.5 and is ranked 6th in his class. He has completed 7 AP courses, earning a high enough score for college credit in 3. He has completed (2) college level courses through dual enrollment with the local community college and is currently enrolled in 4 additional college level courses. Andrew has also completed over 450 hours of training to become a firefighter and EMT through the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute through the University of Maryland. Andrew is the President of the Francis Scott Key Chapter National Honor Society, a role he has held for the last 2 years; he is a Peer Leadership/Mental Health Advocate in the school's Sources of Strength program; he is a member of the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society; he is a member of the Student Athlete Leadership Team; a member of the Francis Scott Key High School Class of 2024 Cabinet; and, he has been a member of the school's Health Careers Club for all 4 years.
PNC Achiever Week of 03/11/24: Tyler Superczynski a Senior at Mount St. Joseph Catholic High School. Tyler is very active within his school community, volunteering at My Brothers Keeper in Baltimore, he is active in his church community. During his four years at Mount St. Joseph, Tyler has been heavily involved in athletics, volunteering his time in the summers to help with the lacrosse camps on campus. He has also volunteered with the 4H Fair in Carroll County, Freedom Lacrosse, and giving back to local youth athletes to help them develop skills on the field. Tyler created his own Lacrosse Clinics, by establishing a partnership with Penn-Mar Human Services. Through this partnership Tyler focuses on helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, by introducing them to the game of lacrosse contributing to their social and physical well-being. He volunteers with Westminster Rec and Parks, helping with children's events. He is a member of the Rho Kappa National Honor Society, which recognizes student excellence in the subject of social studies. Tyler is also a National Merit Commended Scholar. Tyler is a three-sport athlete throughout high school. He has competed in Football, Alpine Ski Racing and Lacrosse. He has been named captains for all three sports.
PNC Achiever Week of 03/04/24: Chloe Poling a Sophomore at Chesapeake Senior High School. Chloe loves sports so much that she coaches younger athletes in lacrosse and field hockey. She plays lacrosse and field hockey for Chesapeake Senior High School and Chloe also plays in multiple club leagues. Chole maintains a high GPA and has achieved this through hard work despite significant challenges. Watch Chloe's fill interview below.
2023 Nominee Winners:
PNC Achiever Week of 06/06/23: Hale Wagner a Junior at Chapelgate Christian Academy. Hale currently serves on the student government at the treasurer. He volunteers countless hours at his church along with helping his parents take care of his 3 younger siblings. He currently works for the Lutheran villages at Millers Grant where he works in the cafeteria and always goes the extra mile when serving the guest there. Hale is currently taking a full course load to include AP History, AP Calculus, AP Physics, and honors English. Hale played football in the fall for the Central Maryland Christian Crusaders because his school does not have a football team, where he lead the team in rushing yards as well as tackles. During the winter, He was on the indoor track team for CCA where he broke the school record for shot put. Currently he is playing lacrosse where he is a captain and he lead the team to their first win on 3/27 scoring 8 of the 13 goals that game.
PNC Achiever Week of 05/30/23: Jason Klotz a Sophomore at Calvert Hall High School. Jason is involved in the NJROTC program at his high school that volunteers within their community at veteran homes, Wreaths Across America, and other local programs. He has also helped out with the younger lacrosse groups in the area during practices. Jason is a current sophomore at Calvert High School. He has some difficulties with learning, but was able to maintain Honor Roll all four semesters last year while being on the varsity lacrosse team. He received an Active Minds award for maintaining Honor Roll while being on the lacrosse team. Jason has played on the Cannons Select Lacrosse Club for several years now. He started off as defense until his club team didn't have a goalie. The coach asked if anyone was willing to step up and become the goalie for the team. Jason, without thinking about it, stepped up to the challenge. He put in hours of work with trainers and extra practice time to support his team. After all of this extra work, he was able to become a varsity goalie in his freshmen year of high school, along with maintaining honor roll all four semesters.
PNC Achiever Week of 05/22/23: Garret Gladfelter a Freshman at Havre de Grace High School. Garret has committed himself for the last 8 year to be a part of St Baldrick's and helping to raise money for childhood cancer research. He has collected money and shaved his head every year for 8 years. Garret went on a mission trip last year to Altoona, PA and helped build a wheelchair ramp in a week with a friends church and hopes to go again this year. Garret has been on the Honor Roll for the first and second semesters of high school and takes Honors and AP classes. Garrets favorite sport is lacrosse but also plays football. He was the starting center for Havre de Grace High School JV this year. He is the starting X for Havre de Grace High School Varsity. He has been playing lax for 11 years and loves the sport. He currently plays for the Susquehanna Stripers Club Team as well.
PNC Achiever Week of 05/15/23: Kaitlin Clements a Junior at Winters Mill High School. Kaitlin has continued to give back to those that helped her by volunteering and helping coach for the Westminster Area Lacrosse program and Central Carroll Field Hockey Club. Some of her volunteer work include fostering dogs for Double Dog Dare Rescue Center and the Coastal Conservation Association. Kaitlin has maintained a 3.8 GPA during her entire middle and high school career including taking all honors and various AP courses. Kaitlin has been playing on the Varsity Field Hockey and Lacrosse teams since a freshman at Winters Mill High School. She has been chosen to represent the MD Metro Area on the USA Lacrosse Championship team.
PNC Achiever Week of 05/08/23: Darby Doehring a Sophomore at Bel Air High School. Darby is an active member of the Bel Air community. She is a member of Bel Air High School's PAWS club, a peer assistance and wellness support for fellow students; the Girl Up Club, a girl-centered leadership development initiative, focusing on equity for girls and women in spaces where they are unheard or underrepresented; and the Kindness Club which helps kids to feel connected to their peers in a special way. Darby is a great student and her grades are important to her. She is scheduled for many AP classes next year and want to increase her GPA to be prepared for college. She was recently accepted into the National Honor Society. Darby is a three sport athlete. As a sophomore, she was a team captain for the JV soccer team, was a key player on the varsity basketball team, and is a starter for the varsity lacrosse team. She takes the draw and plays midfield and attack. Her coach named her as a player to watch this year. She dominates on the draw and has had many goals and assists already this season. She also plays club lacrosse for 3D Maryland Baltimore and has aspirations to play D1 at the college level. She is always looking to improve her game. Watch the full video below:
PNC Achiever Week of 05/01/23: Natalie Aiosa a Senior at Mount DeSales Academy. Natalie has volunteered in many different programs; as a sophomore she organized a blanket drive for the People Who Need People Charity, she has helped prepare lunches for Our Lady of Perpetual Help SALT program, volunteers at both Deep Run Elementary and Rockburn Elementary Schools, and she shares her love of lacrosse through volunteering as a goalie coach at M&D Lacrosse. Natalie sets high standards for herself in the classroom, and she challenges herself by taking honors and AP courses. She currently has a 4.33 GPA and is a member of several honor societies. Natalie played soccer until her junior year of high school when the field hockey team at Mount de Sales recruited her as their goalie. Despite previously never playing field hockey, she ended her first season winning the coaches' award. Natalie also plays Varsity Lacrosse at Mount de Sales. She is a second-year captain and is the starting goalie. She is a leader on and off the field. She earned the Defensive MVP award as a sophomore. This year she has already made 83 saves in 10 games. PNC Achiever Week of 04/24/23: Taylor Young a Senior at Perryville High School. Taylor has served as the main leader for Fellowship of Christian Athletes at her school and she is also a leader for the Drug Free Cecil coalition, helping to reduce substance use among the youth of Cecil County. Taylor has excelled academically, taking both Honors and AP courses throughout her time at Perryville. She is a member of the Perryville Art honors Society and Vice President of the National Honors Society. Taylor is a multi sport athlete playing lacrosse and running cross country and indoor track. She is the Captain for her lacrosse team in her Junior and Senior years. This year she is the second highest goal scorer on her team! Watch the full video below:
PNC Achiever Week of 04/17/23: Sam Paradise a Senior at Maryvale Preparatory High School. Over the years Sam has volunteered to teach lacrosse skills to youth players, volunteered to help the Baltimore Adaptive Recreational Sports. She has organized the Maryvale Wellness Day which helped raise the moral at the school. Sam is in honor level classes and has received 1st and 2nd level honors every quarter she has attended MVP. Sam has been varsity all 4 years of school and been a member of the 2020 Under Armour All America Baltimore Command team! Watch the full video below:
